What This Privacy Policy Addresses

This policy addresses how SharperEmail (“SharperEmail”) treats personal information that SharperEmail collects and receives, including information related to your past use of SharperEmail and it's parent company's products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that SharperEmail does not own or control, nor to people that SharperEmail does not employ or manage.

Information Collection and Use

General

SharperEmail collects personal information when you register with SharperEmail for an account username/ID, when you use SharperEmail subscription products or services, when you visit certain SharperEmail pages and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes.

When you register for an account we ask for information such as your name, email address, birth date, gender, zip code, and time zone. For some subscription products and services we may also ask for your mailing address and contact numbers. Once you register with SharperEmail and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us. We use that information to provide you with a more customized experience.

SharperEmail automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, SharperEmail cookie information, and the page you request.

SharperEmail uses information for the following general purposes: to fulfill your requests for products and services, to customize the advertising and content you see, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous aggregate reporting for internal and external clients.

Children

We kindly request that a child under the age of 13 obtain parental permission prior to registering for an account.

SharperEmail will not contact children under age 13 about special offers or for marketing purposes.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

SharperEmail does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with SharperEmail under very strict confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help SharperEmail communicate with you about offers from SharperEmail and our marketing partners. We transfer information about you if SharperEmail is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, SharperEmail will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Cookies

• SharperEmail may set and access SharperEmail cookies on your computer.
• SharperEmail will access SharperEmail cookies previously stored on your computer when on our network of web sites in order to provide you with the best most customized experience.

Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences

General

You can edit your SharperEmail Account Information at any time by logging into the members area.
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the SharperEmail service, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the periodic SharperEmail Newsletter, that are considered part of your account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.

You can submit a request to permanently delete your account by contacting us. Certain information will remain in our archives even after your account is deleted.

Confidentiality and Security

SharperEmail’s servers are monitored 24 hours a day by security guards and closed circuit video cameras. Only authorized users may enter the server area. SharperEmail limits access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs well.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

SharperEmail may periodically update this policy. Major updates will be complimented with prominent notice on our site noting that a change has occurred.
